Figures on Ground, 2000, in this series after several years work that initially started with abstract themes, gradually evolved back again into figurative painting. I finally recognized that the human figure itself is the best motif in my work, that it can take a life of its own. I started to express my thoughts and my feelings by having human figures as the main elements in my work which addressing symbolic, philosophical and humanitarian themes with reference to birth, death and redemption.
